Self Employed Persons Program
This Canadian immigration Self-Employed Program aims to attract applicants who want to and can work for themselves in Canada. Self-employed individuals who plan to live in Quebec are not eligible for this program and should instead apply for the Quebec Self-Employed Program.
To be considered for this program, applicants must have relevant experience, as well as the desire and ability to:
as artisans or international athletes, make a significant contribution to Canada’s cultural or sporting life; orbuy and manage a farm in Canada
Relevant experience can be defined as follows: at least two years of world-class experience participating in cultural activities or athletics; at least two years of self-employment in athletics-related cultural activities; or experience managing a farm for at least two years.
