Description: Take an active role in bridging the gap between advancing technology and agriculture with the Precision Agriculture – Techgronomy diploma. This two-year program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to leverage advancing technology, with the science of agronomy, to make data driven decisions that favorably impact crop production.

Tapping into the Olds College Smart Farm ecosystem, you will receive instruction from world-class leaders in agriculture, automation and artificial intelligence within the agri-food industry. Through hands-on learning, you’ll be equipped with the necessary skills to effectively integrate precision technology, with agronomy, to create systems that are both actionable and effective, for on-farm decision making.

Founded in 1913, Olds College has been providing quality education for over a century. On-campus housing is available in our newly constructed Centennial Village private rooms or College Courts townhouses. Living on campus provides many advantages both socially and academically. Off-campus housing is also available through the Students’ Association (SAOC).

Our Career Services Office provides extensive services to students including career fairs, resume-writing and interview skills workshops and an online job board. The Broncos Athletics program competes in 8 different sports in the Alberta Collegiate Athletics Conference (ACAC). A variety of clubs are also supported by the SAOC.

Olds College is situated on traditional Treaty Seven Territory. We have developed two new spaces to enhance our indigenous students’ experience at Olds College: The Olds College Indigenous Centre gathering place and a traditional Blackfoot tipi. Olds College Health & Wellness provides free and confidential services to support students.

Applicants must have 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2; 50% or better in Math 20-1 or Math 20-2 (Pure or Applied Math 20); and 50% or better in 2 of Science 20, Chemistry 20, Biology 20 or Physics 20 or 1 of Science 30, Biology 30, Chemistry 30 or Physics 30.

Additional Admission Requirements: Academic Upgrading and High School Applicants: Applicants currently in high school or who are completing academic upgrading must submit proof of enrollment and any available interim/midterm marks. Final marks must be submitted within one month following the completion of the course(s) and no later than one month prior to the program start date.

International Students in this program will require a Co-Op Permit, a Study Permit and a Social Insurance Number for this program.
