Description:

Interactive Media Management at Centennial College prepares students for various user experience design, project management and communications roles in multiple industries. Graduates possess the ability to develop digital strategy, create compelling content, intuitive design interfaces, conduct user research and execute digital projects. You’ll find this graduate certificate program facilitated through the School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design at the Story Arts Centre. The program aims to create exemplary professionals with interpersonal and ethical decision-making skills. Interactive Media Management alumni excel in diversified industries, including mass media, digital entertainment, creative agencies, corporate communications, game studios, marketing and advertising firms, non-profit, education, health, government organizations and software design firms. Moreover, freelancing and creating small business opportunities are also successfully pursued by graduates.

Your courses will teach you how to plan all elements of an effective interactive digital experience, starting with assessing your audience to accommodating their needs through interface design. By the end of the program, students work on two real-world client-driven projects and publish their digital portfolios. The interactive digital media industry is booming, and the demand for interactive media management experts continues to grow.

Centennial College has grown rapidly over the past several years, and demand for student housing outgrew the capacity of our older facility on Progress Avenue. Knowing that a lack of access to a residence is an impediment for students from outside the GTA, Centennial constructed the eight-storey Centennial Residence and Culinary Arts Centre at its Progress Campus. The striking new building takes the shape of a quadrangle with a central courtyard to allow natural light to reach all of the residence rooms. Housing up to 740 students in two- and four-bedroom arrangements, each suite includes its own kitchen and bathroom. Students also have access to communal kitchens and lounge spaces for larger social gatherings. Every resident has his or her own bedroom. For first year students, orientation activities for both academic and Centennial College Student Association programs, and personalized success plans are provided for you. You are also encouraged to take advantage of our free ‘success skills’ workshops offered throughout the year. Peer mentors and International advisors are also available at every campus to help you transition to life in Canada, and at Centennial.

Additional Admission Requirements:	Submit a letter of interest to the program coordinator Attend a program admission session where applicants will learn more about the program Notes: After applying, applicants will receive a letter with instructions on how to submit the letter of interest and how to book the program admission session. Students who are accepted into the program will be required to complete an English language assessment upon registration. Students who test below the required COMM 170/171 English proficiency level will take the ENGL-700 Professional English Communications course or the pre-requisite English COMM course for ENGL-700 in the first semester.
