Description:

The Business Administration – Finance program will help to open doors to more career options by preparing you for specialized financial services areas, such as retirement planning or investment advising, while you continue on the path towards the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and a pathway to the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) credential. As a result, a wider variety of financial services careers will be available to you when you graduate.

In this three-year advanced diploma program, you’ll study the functional areas of business (accounting, finance, marketing, information systems, human resources, production, operations management), and take management-oriented courses that will provide an integrated perspective of business. Because this offering will ensure you have a strong educational base in business, it will prepare you to effectively function in your chosen career, leading to supervisory and management positions in business, government and service organizations. As a graduate of this Business School program, you’ll acquire a specialized knowledge of how finance functions in the corporate entity and of the financial services sector of the economy.

Centennial College has grown rapidly over the past several years, and demand for student housing outgrew the capacity of our older facility on Progress Avenue. Knowing that a lack of access to a residence is an impediment for students from outside the GTA, Centennial constructed the eight-storey Centennial Residence and Culinary Arts Centre at its Progress Campus. The striking new building takes the shape of a quadrangle with a central courtyard to allow natural light to reach all of the residence rooms. Housing up to 740 students in two- and four-bedroom arrangements, each suite includes its own kitchen and bathroom. Students also have access to communal kitchens and lounge spaces for larger social gatherings. Every resident has his or her own bedroom. The Centennial College Student Association Inc. (CCSAI) partners with an off-campus housing service company called Places4Students Inc. For first year students, orientation activities for both academic and Centennial College Student Association programs, and personalized success plans are provided for you. You are also encouraged to take advantage of our free ‘success skills’ workshops offered throughout the year. Peer mentors and International advisors are also available at every campus to help you transition to life in Canada, and at Centennial.

ACCESS STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
