Description: Brew your way to graduation in the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management diploma program! Learn the art, science and business of the vibrant and continually evolving brewing industry at the 2,300 square foot brewing facility at Olds College. This two-year program provides you with hands-on training that includes developing recipes, sourcing ingredients and conducting trial brews.

In alignment with the Canadian Food and Wine Institute (CFWI), you will receive a solid grounding in technical, analytical, business, marketing and entrepreneurial skills needed in the brewing industry. During the program, you will have the opportunity to brew your own beer and potentially bring it to market within the Olds College Brewery Store.

Founded in 1913, Olds College has been providing quality education for over a century. On-campus housing is available in our newly constructed Centennial Village private rooms or College Courts townhouses. Living on campus provides many advantages both socially and academically. Off-campus housing is also available through the Students’ Association (SAOC).

Our Career Services Office provides extensive services to students including career fairs, resume-writing and interview skills workshops and an online job board. The Broncos Athletics program competes in 8 different sports in the Alberta Collegiate Athletics Conference (ACAC). A variety of clubs are also supported by the SAOC.

Olds College is situated on traditional Treaty Seven Territory. We have developed two new spaces to enhance our indigenous students’ experience at Olds College: The Olds College Indigenous Centre gathering place and a traditional Blackfoot tipi. Olds College Health & Wellness provides free and confidential services to support students.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older, on or before, September 1 of the Program Intake Year; have 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2, 50% or better in Math 30-1 or 30-2, 50% or better in Biology 20, OR Chemistry 20, OR Science 20
