Founded in 1913, Olds College has been providing quality education for over a century. On-campus housing is available in our newly constructed Centennial Village private rooms or College Courts townhouses. Living on campus provides many advantages both socially and academically. Off-campus housing is also available through the Students’ Association (SAOC).

Our Career Services Office provides extensive services to students including career fairs, resume-writing and interview skills workshops and an online job board. The Broncos Athletics program competes in 8 different sports in the Alberta Collegiate Athletics Conference (ACAC). A variety of clubs are also supported by the SAOC.

Olds College is situated on traditional Treaty Seven Territory. We have developed two new spaces to enhance our indigenous students’ experience at Olds College: The Olds College Indigenous Centre gathering place and a traditional Blackfoot tipi. Olds College Health & Wellness provides free and confidential services to support students.

Admission Requirements

High School Diploma or its equivalent
Minimum of 18 years of age upon completion of the program

Class 5 Driver’s License
Please submit a copy of your Class 5 Driver’s License (GDL licenses are accepted). It is recommended that you have a full Class 5 License as it improves your employability, however it is not required for entrance into the program. Please note: restrictions such as a blow box on your license are not acceptable to enter into the program.
Driver’s Abstract
Please submit a recent copy of your Driver’s Abstract (current within three months of the start of the program)

Test Scores:
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550]
Application Notes : Proof of age (18 years or older). A copy of an unrestricted class 5 Driver’s License. A recent copy of a Driver’s Abstract and a completed Personal Profile.

Academic Upgrading and High School Applicants: Applicants currently in high school or who are completing academic upgrading must submit proof of enrollment and any available interim/midterm marks. Final marks must be submitted within one month following the completion of the course(s) and no later than one month prior to the program start date.

Alternate Admission Option: Alternate Admission status may be offered to applicants who have not or will not complete one of the academic admission requirements. Please see website for details.
